About Nur Qistina
Aspiring Content Producer in Journalism
Versatile communications student skilled in writing, photography and videography. Seeking an internship in communications to fulfil my dream of providing people the platform to tell their stories to the world. I’m reliable and always open to pick up new skills along the way.
Interned at non-governmental organization Singapore Kindness Movement as an Editorial and Communications intern, I gained experience at events and made a lot of connections. I started to work adhoc/freelance for people I’ve met there.
About me!
Extrovert with a laughter too contagious, I’m approachable and easy to connect with. I do really well interviewing people, understanding their body language and trying to get them to open up.
Outside of work, I love doing film photography. Picked it up when I was 18 and I love the thrill of waiting to the pictures to develop. I embrace the feeling of the unknown of what the image will look like, which pushes me to execute the shot better.
My most recent published article on local news TODAY was about my mother and many articles done for The Pride – from stories of migrants in Singapore to breast cancer research.
I never thought of myself as a writer, but I always knew I wanted to do stories - storytelling but told in many different ways that isn’t the conventional words on a page.
Storytelling is also a way to leave a part of me for future generations to stumble upon and understand life now.
